Why do you think small children enjoy cartoons? What was your favorite cartoon as a child?

    The cartoons are aimed at chgildren, for humor reasons and sometimes to teach a bit of a lesson. It also helps keep them busy while a parent does something, and the kid finds it fun most of the time. They like them for the cartoonish look and funny feel. I liked Good Ol' Scooby Doo. That talking dog.

    I think small children enjoy cartoons because there are really funny. They are not mature yet so everything is funny. The cartoons that I liked would have to be scooby do.

    I think children enjoy cartoons because they're silly and get their imagination going. I don't really remember what my favorite cartoon was as a child. However, i think it was barney then power rangers.

    I think small children enjoy cartoons because our minds are naive to the real world. We will believe anything at the time and we think it is possible. My favorite cartoon was Rocket Power. My favorite character was Twister. Twister was the coolest thing ever when I was little. Twister was rocking the backwords hat and beasting it on the surfboard and skateboard.

    I think that it is because children have short attetion spans so cartoons are not as complex as tv shows like the history channel or anything like that. I remember watching tom and jerry alot as a kid.

    All the colors and animations. I had a lot of favortie cartoons. My all time favorite was Johnny Bravo. It was always on late at night, like two or so. Somehow, I'd know it was on, and I'd go wake up my dad and have him watch it with me. That show was the one thing I always knew I'd have to spend time with him.(:

    Because they're awesome, I still watch cartoons. I would have to say rocket power. It was just a lot of fun to watch. Kids like to watch cartoons because there imaginations fit that type of stuff.

    They enjoy cartoons because they are funny. Little kids like stuff like that so cartoons are good entertainment for them. My favorite cartoon was Rugrats. I loved that show!

    my fav cartoon of all time is rocket power. I use to watch that show everyday before school and after school. i had t shirts and lunchboxs.

    I think that children enjoy cartoons, because they learn new things in a fun way. Also, because the the characters and sometimes the music and stuff. I think my favorite cartoon as a child was Ruby and Max, but I am not sure.

    In my opinion small children enjoy cartoons because cartoons are made to appeal to children. The humor, the language, and the situations are all aspects of cartoons that children can understand. Growing up my favorite cartoon was Tom and Jerry.

    I think children like cartoons because they are all flashy. There is constant movement. It just keeps their attention. I still watch cartoons. My favorite was Scooby Doo

    Well first small children are not the only ones that watch cartoons. I will admit that I watch the occasional cartoon show. My favorite would have to be Family Guy. But as a child it was probably sponge bob.

    My favorite cartoon as a child was The Power Rangers. I liked it because there was alot of action. That is one reason some children like cartoons. There is more action than what they can do in real life. Other cartoons though, are just for fun like the Looney Toons.

    i love to watch cartoons. as a kid i love little bear, franklen, dragen tales, tom and jerry. i still watch them any chance i get. i like the idea that i can sit and be able to watch cartoons with my dad. it feels like i still get to carrie a little bit of my childhood with me.

    I think children enjoy cartoon because all of the colors and the onomanpeia that happens on cartoon. The cartoon i enjoyed when i was a child was tom and jerry. i thought i was hiliarious because the mouse always beat the cat at everything

    i think small children enjoy cartoons because they like the colors and characters and the fact that they are interesting. my favorite childhood cartoon was probably rugrats. i miss getting to watch it. i still watch cartoons, though because you are never to old to watch cartoons!!!!!!

    When you are a young child you dont understand the things that teenagers watch. It is easier for you to comprehend. My favorite cartoon show was "Scooby dooby do"

    i have no idea bout that but i day know that cartoons a amaing they were very funny so maybe thats why they like them so much. my very favorite was tweety bird and barney.. buti would pick barney anyday!!!

    yes i think small children do enjoy cartoons because they are funny and have lots of bright colors. my favorite cartoon as a child was ahh real monsters and cat dog. they were so funny!

    I think children enjoy cartoons because of all the bright colors. And all cartoons have songs that they can catch on to real quick. They also try to get the kids to talk back to the televison and that makes them feel like part of the show. My favorite cartoon growing up was the big comfy couch.

    I think kids enjoy them because they are simple and fun to watch.There isnt really any kind of deep thinking you have to do to get whats happening. Im not sure what my favorite cartoon was? Its a tie I think beteen Spongebob or the Rugrats. I think Spongebob, that was an awesome show.

    Well I think that children like cartoons because they are very funny, creative, and they make loud noises so they catch your attention! I like cartoons now and im not a child! My favorite cartoon would probably have to be sponge bob!

    I think small children like cartoons because its more there speed everything is fast and never down time in a cartoon.

    In reality there are rules and requirements. Cartoons however have none of these. I did not have a favorite cartoon I liked them all the same.

    Because they are colorful and fun. I liked that show with the beavers, "Angry Beavers". It was hilarious. I can't remember the names of the other ones, I had to look angry beavers up, hah.

    because it appeals to their innocent, pre-pubecant psychy. When your young theres nothing telling you that a safe or acme piano falling on your head can be fatal and possibly heart breaking to the immediate family of a cheerful mouse or curious road runner, so its fun. and a pleasant break from the monotenous routine of grahm crackers and nap time.... my favorite cartoons were catdog, rockos modern life, and ren and stempy.

    kids love cartoons becuse it helps their imagination grow.
    they like the characters that they don't see everyday.
    my favorite cartoon was the powerpuff girls my friends and i used to pretend we were actually them. and of course, i was bubbles :)

    Children enjoy cartoons because thats what little kids enjoy. I still enjoy watching cartoons. My mom has a daycare so I get to watch cartoons all day everyday especially during the summer. I enjoy watch t.v. with my little nephew, Sean. We watch noggin' alot.

    Children are just expected to watch cartoons, and thats it. By the time we were old enough to understand television but not old enough to figure out dish network cartoon network, nickleodean, and disney are what we were raised with. My favorites consist of everything on Boomerang, along with old nick shows like Hey Arnold, Angry Beavers, Rugrats, Catdog and so on.

    i think children love cartoons because its and unrealistic animation that goes along with there imagination. as a child i enjoyed a lot of cartoons such as tweety bird, tom and jerry, arthur, hey arnold and spongebob and many more i also liked somethin called richard scary... oh and winnie the pooh and power puff girls and looney tunes... thats all folks!!!!

    I think that small children enjoy cartoons because they like things that are funny to them. These cartoons are funny because they have something to entertain them. My favorite cartoon as a little kid was probably scooby doo the little kids ones, or tom and jerry a classic.

    I think children enjoy cartoons because they are funny...mindless entertainment! Things like spongebob are just funnny to watch! Kids like the backyardigans because they are so awesome!! My favorite cartoon when i was a child wasnt reeally a cartoon it was Milo And Otis! *the cat and dog movie it was so awesome!!*

    Bc they are colorful and have lots of music in them. I think of it as since they play with toys and make them talk. The cartoons do it in the same sense except they can do alot more. I love barney, arthur, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS! I still love watching spongebob though.

    I loved speedracer with a passion.I watched that show every single time it was on.I wouldn't talk to anyone i was glued to the couch watching the television up until my show was over.They actually made a movie from the shoe but i still haven't seen it.I heard it wasnt the same as the original show though so i might not being missing out on much.

    Because small children have simple minds. Cartoons are aimed to be enjoyable to young children. They are very simple and funny. I enjoyed Tom and Jerry as a child

    I think small childern enjoy cartoons because they are anamated and they have "funny" stuff that little kids can relate to.And my favorite cartoon as a child would probably be "Rugrats" or some type of a Dinasour show. It was hilarious.

    because cartoons are colorful and that attracts little children. I remember when I was little, I would always watch whilly coyote and roadrunner on saturday mornings with my dad. Or I would watch tom and jerry all day saturday.

    I think little kids enjoy cartoons because they can actually understand what they are watching. If they were watching Dr. Phil they would have no intrest in what was going on because they would be clueless. My favorite cartoon was definately Rugrats though.

    I think small children like carttons because they are entertaining to them. My favorite cartoon as a kid was Scooby Doo and Pokemon. I would always watch them when they would come on tv. I still watch cartoons because they are funny and they can be entertaining.

    because cartoons are apropriate. they do stuff in cartoons that little kids are interested in. alot of cartoons have little kid voices and stuff. my favorite cartoon as a kid was the batman series. and also my favorite was the movie the fox and the hound

    i know i enjoyed my cartoons. it was always my source of entertainment when i couldn't find it. it sometimes still is. i always watched tom and jerry. that was my show. me and my little brother still watch it sometimes.
