I think that the press should have total freedom. If it wasn't for the press we wouldn't know half of the things that are going on in the world today. Yes, the press abuses their freedom sometimes but we need to know what is going on in the world. It is absolutley necessary for us to know if America plans to prosper.
ReplyDeleteYes, people should be protected, because the press just aim to make their lives better getting the story they need. They could care less for the story, whether its bad, good, or extremely bad. They just have to get their story, brag about, and look good. They should still have their freedom, just their freedom should be limited.....
ReplyDeleteThe people do need protection from the press. With the press having total freedom I think they would get a little crazy. It's kind of like you can't give any body to much power if they don't know how to use it.
ReplyDeleteI whole heartedly think that people should have protection from the press. The press constantly invade people's privacy and then lie about the people. I think that the press should be restricted.
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't think we should be "protected" from the press. It's your choice what you read, what you watch. If you don't want to see something, don't look at it. And I think the press needs freedom, and a lot of it. However, they should not be able to lie. Throwing false statements at people constantly is immoral, not to mention ignorant.

ReplyDeleteI think that we should have freedom from the press because they really like to tell lies about celebrities. I understand that thats how they make a living but how would you feel if they started telling lies about you in the paper wouldnt you want them to stop.
ReplyDeleteI think that people need protection from the press. Press is pretty much the same thing as speech except in writing. People should be able to write what they want, say what they want, and believe what they want. there should be some limits as to what people say and write, though.
ReplyDeleteI think that to a certain extent people do need protection from the press. The press has a tendency from time to time to be over-bearing into the lives of people, ordinary or famous. The press should have freedom to report on whatever they want, but in doing so they should not infringe upon people's rights to privcy.

ReplyDeletePeople are in dire need of protection of the press. Press invade over peoples privacy and exploit them. If you think about it that could be halting their pursuit of happiness which according to the U.S. constitution is our god given right.
ReplyDeletei do think that sometimes people need protection from the press and no i do not feel that the press should have total freedom. there are somethings that the press puts out there that people do not want others to know. like some people dont want others to know that their child was driving drunk and got into a wreck.in situations like that i feel that the press should leave out the name and white out the licens plates in the picture. the press should have to respect the people and not put the things out there that they do that could harm/offend/disrespect people.

Yes i do believe they do need protection, i mean people wouldn't want just random people taking pictures of them. It would kinda freak me out where i would probably go crazy :)
ReplyDeleteI think that people need protection from the press more than the press having total freedom. If the press has total freedom, they could just walk into your house and bombard you with questions and cameras not thinking about if it is a convient time. That would be violating the person who's being attacked by the press.

ReplyDeleteI think people need some protection from the press. Some people dont want the press knowing there business. The press shouldnt have total freedom. Most of the time the press lies about everything. Nobody should have to put up with the press and all there fake stories and lies.

ReplyDeleteI believe that the press should have freedoms, but they sometimes take it to far. The press isn't respectable like it use to be, they have no limits to who they purse. When FDR was president the press was respectable, they helped to cover up his polio, noit make it public.
